Sofia changes the record: MUZA brings jazz-club style, signature cocktails and a love of vinyl to a new bar-bistro on Serdika Street.
New York has many sides, but MUZA takes its cue from the music.
Maria and Grafa (Vladimir Ampov) have opened a bar-bistro with the spirit of a mid-century jazz club. Maria's interior brings together cognac leather, dark wood, vintage furniture and art on the walls. Downstairs, the DJ booth sets the mood around the bar; upstairs, there's a little more quiet for conversation. Open from 9am to 10pm, MUZA serves a lunch menu, signature cocktails and carefully chosen wines. But music is its first love: a dedicated sound system, jazz, soul and funk, vinyl nights and acoustic jam sessions. This is one new opening worth listening to.
