Autumn on the menu at three Sofia favourites
Taste the season at KUZINA, OXBO and Savage Garden

Autumn has a taste and a smell of its own.
From the weight of the morning air to coffee, dinner and the finishing touches on dessert, the season finds its way into the day. It’s a good moment to look at the autumn menus of a few Sofia favourites. Whatever the season,
good taste is something we expect from them.
From Mediterranean traditions to Black Angus, here’s a taste of the autumn menu.
KUZINA

At Kuzina by Stefanos Stamidis, the Mediterranean is a way to spend the evening. Tables sit close together, the atmosphere is warm and easy, and food stays at the centre. Chef Stefanos Stamidis takes Greek and Mediterranean traditions into a contemporary kitchen.
Familiar flavours find a fresh expression,
with good ingredients, balanced combinations and the chef’s own touch. Our attention goes to the Australian Black Angus bavette souvlaki with black garlic, green-bean salad and a crisp aubergine cannelloni.

OXBO’s terrace on a warm autumn day makes you want to linger. We arrive for the new seasonal menu, composed by chef Pavlos Tirhas. The farm-to-table approach, centred on seasonal ingredients from local producers,
brings out what’s good about the food.
The menu includes traditional Bulgarian cooking and international dishes. Our picks are the OXBO burger and chicken fillet with creamy sweetcorn risotto, roasted corn and a delicate black-garlic emulsion.

At Savage Garden, autumn arrives with good ingredients and a serious appetite. This European kitchen knows its way around meat. Beef fillet with mashed potato, asparagus and a pepper sauce with porcini and portobello mushrooms is one of the first dishes to catch our eye.
Then comes Black Angus rib-eye with herbed potatoes and grilled vegetables.
Pork gets its moment, too: a French-trimmed rack comes with herbed potatoes and grilled vegetables, while pork ears with a yoghurt mousse and garlic salsa offer something bolder. Choose a glass from the extensive wine selection and let dinner take its course.
