Our favourite places to go glamping

A tent or a caravan, stars overhead and a campfire:

camping feels like summer. By the sea or in the mountains, that closeness to nature can be wonderfully restorative. Comfort needn’t be left behind, either. Glamping, a blend of “glamorous” and “camping”, adds everyday conveniences to the outdoor setting. For a romantic break, a quiet stay or a family trip, it’s worth considering. These four places offer different ways to do it. Nature has its appeal in winter as well as summer, though opening seasons and available accommodation vary.

Glamping Bebeka

Our favourite places to go glamping

When did you last wake to birdsong with Belogradchik’s mountains in view? If the answer is never, Glamping Bebeka is a place to start. It has several converted container rooms,

each with a veranda and a private outdoor hot tub.

The hosts take care of food and room service. The farm shop offers cappuccino, local wine and other regional products. It’s a quiet corner where being outdoors is the main attraction.

Marina Glamping

Our favourite places to go glamping

Around 90 kilometres from Sofia and 60 from Plovdiv, Marina Glamping combines nature with comfort for a family weekend, a party with friends, a retreat or a break from town. Two spacious glamping tents have standing room, with trees and awnings providing shade.

Cooling makes them suited to the May-to-October period,

particularly hot summer days. They’re also described as fully waterproof. If you prefer, there’s a spacious apartment; total capacity is up to 12 guests. A mineral-water pool, children’s pool, large garden, equipped kitchen and barbecue complete the setup for a break or celebration outdoors.

Zarevo Glamping

Our favourite places to go glamping

Closeness to nature can feel like a luxury. In the Rhodopes, Zarevo Glamping makes room for solitude and quiet, bringing the feel of old-fashioned camping together with modern comforts.

Forest cabins or tents, a summer kitchen, a well-appointed bathroom and a hot sauna

cover the practical side. An outdoor cinema, resting area, campfire and picnic table take care of time off. Among pines and meadows, there’s plenty of mountain air and space to recharge.

Gradina Campsite

Our favourite places to go glamping

Wake in a caravan to a blue-sea view and end the day beneath stars above the trees. Gradina is one of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast’s best-known campsites, offering just that sort of atmosphere.

Choose a caravan or a bungalow,

equipped with everyday comforts, with the sea only a few metres away. Whether you’re travelling with children, heading for a beach-bar party or moving your office to the sand, Gradina has its appeal.
