A little time for yourself: Sofia’s spa and wellness escapes
Four places to put the day on pause.

February has a particular way of asking us to pause:
the cold draws us indoors, and the idea of care takes more than one form. Care for someone else, for our bodies, for the quiet moments when we let ourselves slow down. The need for a break becomes easier to recognise. Sometimes it means a long massage; sometimes warm water, silence and time without notifications. It can also be a reminder that looking after yourself matters as much as time shared with someone you love. This selection brings together spaces for that sort of pause, where a treatment, a swim or simply a quieter hour can become the point of the day.
Esprit Wellbeing Centre

Esprit Wellbeing Centre combines a relaxation area, fitness studio and beauty salon. There’s a whirlpool, sauna and steam room, alongside a range of massages and specialist treatments.
If you’d like to start with some exercise
before winding down, head to the modern fitness studio. Finish in the beauty salon, with its selection of treatments, quality products and attentive team.

Millennium Spa & Wellness Centre

Millennium Spa & Wellness Centre takes its inspiration from a connection with nature. Its philosophy draws on five elements: water, fire, air, earth and ether. Natural colours, organic materials, generous light and a sense of space create a calm setting for time away from the day’s demands.
There’s a saltwater spa pool with a panoramic view, a choice of saunas
and a hammam bringing traditional rituals together with contemporary skin and body care. Partnerships with established brands have produced a collection of signature treatments and spa rituals offered here by trained therapists. It’s a setting for paying attention to the present and giving yourself time to unwind.

Next Level

At Next Level, effort and relaxation are part of the same routine. The post-workout pause has a place of its own.
Step out of the day’s noise and into soft music,
warmth and a slower pace. Recovery areas across the group include Finnish saunas, steam rooms and spaces to relax. Facilities differ by location, so check what your chosen club offers before making the trip. A little time between a workout and the rest of the day can be worth keeping.

The Wellness

The Wellness is a boutique centre in the heart of Sofia, combining influences from Eastern wellness traditions with a contemporary city setting. It offers space to make a little room for yourself at the beginning of the year, or whenever you need it.
With an individual approach to each guest,
the centre offers Balinese massages, body treatments and skincare. A head spa was also planned at the time of our February 2026 feature; ask about availability when booking. For time shared with someone close, there are Balinese couples massages too.
